Speakers And Sponsors

I think that getting speakers for events from sponsors or sponsors paying to speak is unethical. Speakers should be chosen because they are good at speaking or have an important message to deliver and sponsors should support a group that provides a good service to it’s members. I know that sponsors need to be recognized-their contribution is important but when you have the sponsors speaking-it muddies everything.
I will from now on not knowingly participate as a member or speaker in any group that does this-I invited sponsors, guests and speakers to join me.
